The Palomar Community College District is overseen by a five-member Governing Board, with each member elected to a four-year term through a trustee area election system. Board members are chosen by voters residing within designated districts. The district spans 2,500 square miles in northern San Diego County. Additionally, a student trustee, elected by their peers, serves a one-year term. The next election is scheduled for November 2024.
